The Crazy Cajun was created to share true Louisiana hospitality and Cajun cuisine with locals and tourists of the Gulf Coast.
Owner Cory Trahan and his wife Ava moved to Alabama after being born and raised in South Louisiana for 30 years. The two fell in love with the Gulf Shores area after many summer vacations to the beach with family and friends. In late 2017, Cory decided to follow his lifelong dream and open his own restaurant. He longed to share his Cajun heritage with locals as well as tourists from around the country. By now you’re probably wondering how the name, The name Crazy Cajun, came to be, (if you haven’t figured it out yet from watching his Facebook videos.) The decision to follow his dream was made, and less than 2 months later, The Crazy Cajun was open for business. (When Cory has an idea in his head, he makes it happen!) Cory worked in a restaurant part time while in college. Yep, that’s where his restaurant experience started and ended. Most recipes on the menu originated from his grandmother or were created himself. Fast forward to today – most days you will find Cory going from table to table getting to know his customers, ensure their satisfaction, and share the Cajun heritage with them. His passion for food and customer service shine at every table inside The Crazy Cajun.
There’s truly no place quite like it on the Gulf Coast!
